If you haven’t taken a stroll there recently, what are you waiting for? The park is an absolute gem with beautiful flower beds, gardens bursting with colour and benches where you can soak up the evening sunsets and watch the freighters roll by on the Detroit River.

Kudos to the Town’s Parks Department for everything you do year-round to keep the park looking so amazing.

Three other Amherstburg attractions took home the top prize in their respective categories.

Fort Malden National Historic Site again took home top honours in the Best Museum or Heritage Space category. Wolfhead Distillery won again in the Art of a Cocktail category and Armando’s won for Best Pizzeria.

More than two dozen Amherstburg hot spots were nominated in a total of 48 categories from Best Holiday Event to Best Brewery Experience to Favourite Photo Op in Essex County. More than 11,000 votes poured in between February 14 and March 6.

“We recognize that there have been a lot of setbacks these past two years, along this path to reopening, but there is much to celebrate and recognize in our tourism and hospitality industry” said Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex. “Better days for our tourism and hospitality industry are just around the corner and now is the time to start patronizing some of the best tourism businesses of Windsor Essex thanks to this 'must see list.'”
