“There will be a presentation by the architects from J.P. Thomson Ltd and personnel from the Board will be available to answer questions and receive comments from families in the school community and members of the public,” said the Greater Essex County District School Board in a news release Tuesday.

The board purchased 15 acres at the south end of Centennial Park from the Town to clear the way for what was billed in 2018 as a $24.3 million facility that would house 819 students, combining Amherst and Western in one location.

Thursday’s public presentation begins at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium at General Amherst.

The design and budget for the school will be presented for approval at the school board meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21st.

Exciting times!
