I was happy to support a Day of Action Against Asian Racism and the creation of a policy to support and govern the installation of painted crosswalks in Amherstburg. Here's how I voted on May 10, 2021:

More than 20,000 vaccine doses and counting have been administered at the Libro Centre in Amherstburg and our community is growing safer every day with every jab in every arm.

The estimated completion date for the bridge over the Long Marsh Drain on Concession Road 2 North in Amherstburg is now pegged at Oct. 15th. 

The deal to sell the eastern portion of the St. Bernard’s property to a company intent on building a long-term care home has finally closed and proceeds from the $900,000 sale will be plowed back into the Parkland Reserve fund.

I was happy to support a grassroots effort to honour the contributions of Italian immigrants who settled in Amherstburg and the striking of a committee to help the Town maximize its potential as an age-friendly community. 

Make sure and fill out your census form on Census Day today so we can get an accurate picture of the changing demographics of Amherstburg. The information we collectively supply will provide a snapshot of our beautiful Town and help inform our future debates and decisions.

I was happy to receive the presentation of community survey results from the Amherstburg Community Foundation and even happier to note that our 2021 Budget reflected many of the priorities residents expressed in the survey. Here's how I voted on April 12, 2021:

When Molly Allaire heard Council had asked Town staff to come up with different options for Jack Purdie Park, including the potential to develop a portion of it, she bought some magic markers from the Dollar Store and set to work making 150 signs that are now springing up like tulips on front lawns throughout the Monopoly subdivision.

Amherstburg residents are welcome to attend a virtual Public Information Centre Wednesday night about the Fryer Street Reconstruction project.

I voted in favour of having Administration come up with various concepts for the highest and best uses of Jack Purdie Park and the north end of Centennial Park and to consult the public about those options. I wrote more about it in this blog post. Here's how I voted on February 22, 2021:
