Council directed Administration Monday night to undertake public consultation on public transportation needs in relation to a proposal received from Transit Windsor.

Concession Road 4 North between Middle Side Road and Alma Street will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday for a road reconstruction project expected to last until October.

Samples taken from Amherstburg’s Wastewater Treatment Plant that were analyzed by a University of Windsor research team show “no evidence of the genetic signal of the COVID-19 virus.”

Council has unanimously approved a $105-million greenhouse development that will broaden our tax base, diversify our economy, help fund our water and wastewater infrastructure and create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs.

Amherstburg cyclists and pedestrians rejoice!

Paved shoulders will soon be constructed on a stretch of Alma Street between Fryer Street and Meloche Road, shoring up a dangerous and glaring gap in the Town’s active transportation network.

The Town of Amherstburg has secured nearly $2.9 million in funding from the senior levels of government to replace the deteriorating bridge over River Canard on Concession Road 5 North.

I was happy to approve a capital expenditure necessary to receive funding for the replacement of the bridge over River Canard on Concession Road 5 North and I supported sending a letter to Premier Doug Ford imploring him to allow Amherstburg to move to its economy to Stage 2.
