I was happy to direct administration to send a letter to Premier Doug Ford about funding challenges regarding Amherstburg's new High School and to earmark funds for the improvement of Pat Thrasher Park in Kingsbridge. Here's how I voted on January 27, 2020:

A crucial missing link in Amherstburg’s trail network will be addressed this year when paved shoulders are constructed on Alma Street as part of the County Wide Active Transportation System program.

Second Concession North from North Sideroad to Beneteau Drive will be closed to through traffic from February 3 to October for the replacement of the bridge over the Long Marsh Drain.

Thank you, Premier Ford, for coming to Amherstburg last week. You couldn’t have picked a better spot for your event than the Fort Fun Centre. It’s a fantastic venue in an amazing Town.

I was happy to support the plans of the Miracle League of Amherstburg and a joint-use agreement with the public school board that will enhance access to facilities for Town residents. I also supported the new True Festival and amendments to the noise bylaw that would allow for outdoor music on patios. 

Here's how I voted on January 13, 2020:

The Town of Amherstburg has received more than $1.7 million in provincial funding that will be directed toward much-needed road improvement projects.

The town is unveiling and seeking input on an exciting vision to build out the Libro Centre with amenities including baseball diamonds, batting cages, a pool and splash pad, pickleball and tennis courts, a skate park, a basketball court, a BMX track, outdoor fitness equipment, an events plaza, and a Big Creek Trail walking loop.

Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinics, like the one opening in Amherstburg Monday, offer many of the benefits of a family doctor plus a range of other services devoted to health management and preventive care.

A Joint Use Agreement between the Town and the public school board should provide Amherstburg residents with significantly enhanced access to recreational programming.

Amherstburg will play host to a new, winter festival designed to attract members and supporters of the LGBTQ2+ community and put the Town on the map as a year-round destination for tourists.
