I supported a trial period for ATVs on town roads but was in the minority and my colleagues and I unanimously endorsed the installation of plaques in King's Navy Yard Park honouring Amherstburg native Ralph Mayville and 27 other local Veterans who fought in the storied Devil's Brigade.
Here's how I voted:
Delegations
6.1 1st Special Service Force Memorial Project -- Tim Rousseau, Jeff Turner, Craig Haines and Brad Krewench
I supported the installation of plaques in King's Navy Yard Park to honour Amherstburg native Ralph Mayville and 27 other local veterans who fought in the Devil's Brigade. Here's a blog post about those brave Veterans who fought for our freedom.
6.2 Off-Road Vehicle Use on Municipal Roadways -- Kevin Schmidt and Shawn Ellenberger, Essex County ATV Club
I opposed administration's recommendation against allowing ATVs on town roads and argued in favour of allowing them on roads for a trial period. I opposed the motion my colleagues passed calling for more study because we had already canvassed various groups. I felt we had the elements in place for a trial period.

10.1 2019 Essex Region Children’s Water Festival
I supported sponsoring the 2019 Essex Region Children's Water Festival in the amount of $1,500 as part of the 2019 Amherstburg Water Conservation Program.

14.3 Bottled Water - City of Quinte West Resolution
I opposed a motion to follow the City of Quinte West's lead and have administration find ways to reduce bottled water in Town facilities. I drink a lot of bottled water and felt it would be hypocritical to support the motion. As well, I was worried about discouraging water consumption and encouraging the consumption of less healthy drinks that also come in cans or plastic bottles.
